Julie: A Screenplay & Writing Bible by Bailey Powers

Julie follows the story of William, a young rabble-rouser who, set against the backdrop of rural Texas in 1979, drops out of college and moves back to his hometown to live with his strict father, miserable mother, and artistic younger brother. There, he gets a job at a steakhouse, Sirloin and Sip, begins to make friends, namely the restaurant’s head waiter, Ken, and meets the charming and elusive Julie. After Julie disappears with no way to contact her, William goes on scavenger hunt of sorts, revealing hard truths about her, his friendships, and his nature of relating to others.
